How Long Do You Keep Ordering From Mostly Skunk Provider?

I order from 2 different Banks each week and am baffled by how different the results are week to week. At bank A, I am getting anywhere from 1 all the way up to a record high 23 last week. Bank B on the other hand, has given up multiple skunk boxes with the best being 1. I know full well skunks will always be there but I can't help but notice the discrepancy as each week goes by. I also notices on my skunk bank, the boxes have been stamped with the date, Dec 14th, 2010. Sounds like the easy thing to do would be to drop bank B and double up on better bank, however, due to the volume I am doing (10 boxes per week) it makes it much easier to spread dumps out by ordering from this other bank as it is miles away from bank that is getting better results.

I have no idea on how the system is run as far as once the coins leave the bank, where they go and how they come back. Both banks have identical boxes that are stringer rolls with the yellow wraps. All the boxes are stamped 5419. The first few weeks, I chalked it up to a bad run with one bank and a good run on the other, but it has been this way every week for well over a month now. Thoughts?

i have come up with about a month times. but if you dont got another order bank or too lazy which i am then you can just suffer for a while...

December 14, 2010 was just a month ago. I would continue working through those boxes until you cycle through that batch. Once you clear out this skunk supply, you will either start getting older boxes or a new batch, which will hopefully be better

My short answer is "however long it takes". You just need to work though the boxes. I am working on 3 weeks of 2001-D boxes right know but the same carrier has delivered some nice boxes in the past and will deliver nice boxes in the future. Are both banks served by the same carrier or is Garda delivering to bank A and Brinks to bank B?

A better question would be, are they serviced by the same region.

I just went through 8 box's and all were stamped jan 5th' 2011 produced only 5 64's and 3 40'sI picked up on the 11th. 6 days recycle, and one magic coin

I would cut down on boxes from the skunk bank for a little while, its just a matter of hit and miss. I have nine to do tonight and saturday. They came from 4 differant banks. So far #1 was skunk, #2 had 4 and first half of #3 has 6. They all came from same supplier and have same box number. Its all just luck of the draw.

My main question is - If they are all stamped with the same #, then are they coming from same place? If so, then it does not matter which bank I get them from, right?

take a magic markerand mark a bunch of those coins to see if you are just redoing your last runs if so lay off for a couple of weeks and let someone else have them suprdave

From your first post it sounds like the skunk boxes are also marked with a date while the others are not. If that is the case I would assume that a company like CWI is processing coins for both banks but the banks are possibly using different carriers. All of the following is my best guess only.

CWI (Fed Vault) breaks down ($50000) bag from Fed and moves or holds inventory for carriers who then move/hold inventory for banks. If the carrier doesn't roll coins for the bank then they return ($1,000) bags to CWI. If the carrier rolls coins for the bank then they may have CWI roll the coins for them and CWI may date stamp the box. This may explain why one bank is delivering date stamped boxes and the other is not. This could also explain how a bank with a big dumper could cause a large skunk streak.

I have pretty much given up trying to figure out the system since it really is about volume. The more you search the more you find.
