How do you keep your coins?

i put them in 2x2 Mylar holders and then the holders go into a vinyl notebook page. from what i understand you dont want to store coins for long in vinyl pages of pvc flips if the vinyl or pvc is directly touching your coins. apparently it darkens them. hopefully mylar is ok.

I believe I'd read that PVC can release hydrogen chloride gas, when this gas is combined with moisture, it creates hydrochloric acid that can cause severe damage.

I believe it also read that mylar (not vinyl) was a safe alternative.

I use all of the above.
And on some of the more scarce ones there are airtights.

The realy rare ones are always best certified as to grade and authenticity.

Preservation and presentation are important.

But with the old and early coppers I just use the 2x2 mylar,
I seem to have a tendancy to want to take them out and play with them too much for an album.

Thanks all for the input. I've been looking online for a supplier of some cent-size flips, I think that's the route I'll take for now. Found some I'm going to order tomorrow. I spent tonight going thru a quart jar of wheaties of dads, some are very nice & I want to protect them for him.
