Hello all,
New to the site and just really finding this part of Treasure net.
Couple of questions how do you really choose what your best find is.
Sometimes it is more than just how much is it worth. Some of my better
finds mean more to me because of where I was or who I was hunting with.
Also .. been trying to take some pics, but either camera does not focus well
or the light is not best. Any way here is some of the finds I recovered, most
were found while stationed in Hawaii from 1992 - 1995.
First picture is of what rings I have left. I sold some a while back to buy a motorcycle.
The second picture shows some of the rings I like best. In the center there is
a 1 and 1/3 carat Diamond. To the left of that is 18K rose gold with 5 diamonds.
I have been told each of the 5 are 1/3 carat and high quality, the 5 are very bright.
To the right of the big diamond is a high end Jade ring, I was told by jade dealers in Hawaii
that this ring was made by better jelwers in Hong Kong. It is 18 K ring but jade is set in 24K.
The sides of this ring have seven bands alternating white and yellow gold , jade and bands are
lined with single cut diamonds. To the right of that ring is a nice man's ruby ring. In back you
can see a Star Sapphire ring. To the left of that one is a 18K ring shape like a snake, with small
diamonds for head and eyes, this ring I had tried to dig out of the suft on several different days,
had to get a lucky low tide to recover it .. I think it was near 18 inches deep. The statue of Liberty $5 dollar
gold coin and chain I found just by luck, working the dry sand on Wiakiki beach while looking for
my two daughters after hunting the water for a couple hours. The band under the Jade ring is
pure platinum a nice heavy ring the give you a good feeling when finding it. The Brietling watch
($1250 model) I found hunting at about 2AM in chest deep water, with a two foot hammerhead
shark swimming circles around me.
I guess they all have a story but as a whole this is what makes metal detecting a wonderful hobby for me.
