How banks get their boxes of coins

So i'm wondering how it works if Bank 'A' and Bank 'B' both use the same Armored car service. Does anyone know if this is all coming from 1 pile? or if there is a Bank 'A' section and Bank 'B' section...

I'm just curious because my boxes generally have different numbers written on them with marker. So all Bank 'A' boxes will have the number 40, Bank 'B' will have 36 and Bank 'C' has 37...

In the area where I live, all banks use one coin bank. Any loose coinage goes to that coin bank for
sorting and rolling and is delivered to a multitude of banks in my area. That was why I was dumping
in another region. Didn't work out very well for me... >:(

I live in a tri-state region, where I can drive to 2 other states lines within 5 miles. Of course the towns with banks are farther away than that, the nearest town with a bank is a 25 mile drive.

The banks around here contract with different services for their coins. All branches of each particular bank around here use the same service, no matter which state they are in. So even if I drive to a branch 100 miles or more away, if it is a branch of the same bank, they will be supplied by the same coin service. For my halves example, I buy from branches of banks that use the desired service, like Loomis or Garda to deliver their coins, and dump at branches of banks that use Brinks. The banks around here that use Brinks are not so willing to order boxes without fees anyways, so they get my halves dumps :laughing7:

All the banks I use in my area have the coins delivered by brinks. I've tried several bags of 1/2's in the past and they were many marked coins in them so I gave up on them as none had a keeper.

My record for a brinks dime box was 6 in one box. I have had skunks a plenty, but usually can pull one dime out of box if not two.

I get my coins from 2 different baks that are 70 miles apart and both in different states. I get boxes and find coins that have the same mark on them from both banks regularly.

I'd be willing to bet they come from the same "pile" even though they are 2 different banks in 2 different states.

I don't know if they use the same service or not.

Maybe the number on the box tells the delivery guys which bank or stop on the route that box goes to. IDK.
