What is the deal with the places ( I will not even name them) that sell the
Titan detectors for those outrageous prices? We all know that the Titans are
the same machine as the Bounty Hunter Discovery line for Radio Shack with
the exception of the face colors and diagrams on the screens and perhaps
better elbow rests on the 2 and 3 thousand Titan models. Yet here are these
online places trying to get someone to fork over 4 times what the thing is worth
or can be had for. The price different is sick that I see it as more of a scam.
I regret getting my ACE metal detector from the place I got it, because I feel
that they are ripping people off by selling those machines at those prices.
It sad, it really is. I come on here and hear about people who brought these
things or are thinking of getting one. I always try to talk them out of it or into
returning it. Can you imagine? A Bounty Hunter 1100 like the one I got on Ebay
for $50 versus $199? Even more for those places that try to get you with the free
accessories, which are mostly junk. It's incredible. Am I wrong in what I am saying
here? In one recent post, I posted these links............

This is the Titan 1000

It pays to shop around. I don't even see that kellyco is throwing in the usual cheezy bonus goodies with that one.

Still, ebaY is always a gamble that: 1.) the unit is as decribed (i.e. "new), and 2.) the unit . . . is.
