How about train wrecks?

I Would
and wouldn't think twice about it,
Although the Iron ore & Coal dust
along certain tracks would turn me off.

As long as the Wreck was not still being Investigated
or a Shrine has been erected.
It's just detectable Ground.

contrary to what some seem to
believe, people are not buried where
a train wrecks, and train parts are not bodies,
or departed loved ones.

I do recall reading about one near Wilkes Barre and there was coinage missing if I am not mistaken.

Count me out on that one.

I really want to check out the Shohola train wreck of 1865, which killed almost 80 people including Unionm soldiers and Confederate POWs in transit to prison in ny.The confed. dead were
buried in a mass grave at the scene but later exhumed and reburied in Elmira Cemetrary.

I tried to track down the exact location of one in Ft. Washington with Ryan on here once. I know we were real close.

I'm from PA, I'll detect any where if there's a chance of old coins.

If I am correct, if there are still train tracks at the scene, active or not, they are the property of the railroad and cannot be detected. I've read elsewhere on TNet that MD or any kind of digging within 25 feet of the tracks, stations, switch houses, etc., is illegal and if caught, you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Even walking along/on tracks or right-of-way is against the law. Anyone care to clarify this for me? Thanks.
