No, not the walk, almost five hours! :BangHead:

The big thing is all brass and still works.
Pivots in all points. I'm thinking it's something
used to attach to logs for dragging off? :dontknow:

The back of the partial eating utensil seems
to have a marking but all I can make out is
"NIGH..." I think.

If you guys don't want reports like these, just say
something and I won't post up my less than stellar days. ;)

Thanks for peeking!

That's a good post to me. You helped me stop comparing my hunts to the posts that document everything except the kitchen sink.
Congrats on getting out and please keep those cards and letters coming. lol

It's a reality post so keep them coming. Brass object may be a horse bit, not positive. Thanks for posting.

Rumbling, bumbling, stumbling, Whadi's in the h-o-u-s-e. :hello2: The real treasure is not pictured. Love the horse bit.

The large item is a common Snaffle bit:

Why thank you! I kind of thought it was a tool of some sort. I know nothing about horse equipment!
I didn't even think that a horse bit would be joined in the middle like this! I always thought they were
just a solid bar.

I wonder how old, it is a really old farm! But that doesn't matter. It's enough that I know what it is now! :)

cool find Wadi.

keep them coming :icon_thumleft:

I am by no means an expert, but I have detected a lot of old farm land, with road frontage dating back to the 1740s and I have never found a brass horse bit. That is a great find if you ask me, I would love to have come across that!!
