hotel door plate?

Hotel Door plate? Not having a size reference it is hard to tell for sure but, I've dug a few of those that are the size of a civil war belt buckle and they were cow tags. However, if you found that at the beach it likely is not a cow tag but a room key attachment stating the room it belonged to. Either way- Gave off a great signal didn't it?

Cow tag it is! I also knew of a sheep farm where the same tag was worn.
