98-100 here today and most of next week. Although I don't hunt much between June and August, still nice to read your posts. I haven't stopped, just too hot here during these months and since I prefer deep targets, the ground here is much too hard. I usually start back up in late Aug. early Sept. Most people up north research in the winter, now is the time I do my research, besides, woods are way too grown up to get at those good possibilities at this time. I do hit the shallow parks in between though. But the old ball fields are terrible to dig in at this time. But you guys keep searching and posting the finds; I do enjoy reading about your success. I know how you feel Renegade. :'( Not much diggin goin on here either. :'(

But it'll get all better! ;)

I don't dig either in the summer. Too hot to hike several miles back in and to have to carry 30-40 lbs back out. It just aint fun.

If you have to go out, take plenty of cold water, drink often, and hunt in areas that are OK to use a sharpshooter. Then limit your outings to a 1/2 hr.-1 hr. No treasure is worth a heat stroke or heat exhaustion for.

Can't wait for the foilage to leave in the winter myself. So that I can take my first look at relic fields.
