Well after hearing from my wife and daughters so many times, "When are you gonna get a new phone" I decided okay, still I never felt like getting a new phone is like getting new clothes as these kids of mine seem to think. I got me a new Samsung S23. Took it out on a bike ride this morning to see how it does. I have to say it does pretty good at general picture taking. I rode around the trails in town and came back home through downtown which has these Peach Festival every year. Pretty hot a crowded it was, so I just blew on through. I thought this 3 Deuces with 4 Speed and a 389 was pretty sharp.

That 66 GTO is stunning.
I was thinking you'd like it. It was a real beauty. So it's a 66'. I wasn't sure if it wasn't that or a 67'.

Taillights, grille and lower side mouldings werer different on the 66. And, the 66 was the last year for the 389 tri-power. 67 came out with the 400 4-bbl.
Well you ought to know fyrtffytr1. Tell me what you think of this deal nearby. Pretty pricy for a 67 GTO Convertible that's gonna need a ton of attention, don't you think? But who knows anymore on the classic cars these days. The more I keep thinking I want something, the more they keep going up.

Remember when people posted here and said 'I apologize, pic taken with my cell phone....'?

My new S23 Ultra takes pics as good as my Nikon. That is if I can learn all the functions. I think I'll have to come out as trans-techie. I think I'm a techie, but I'm really not. I'm also trans-slender.

What do you know about the drivetrain? How are the floors and trunk pan? You can figure an engine rebuild along with a clutch, probably a complete brake rebuid flush the gas tank and lines at the least, Rebuild the carb. Just looking it doesn't appear to be a 4 bbl. When you add those thing up plus paint and body, a new top and a complete interior and all new electrical you would probably be in the $50 -$60,000 range. Add the !8,500 price and you are at $68,500 -$78,500 for a car that would probably have an insurance value of around $60,000.

Kind of what I figured. Interesting you mention it doesn't appear to be a 4 bbl. I would think a car such as this wouldn't have anything, but a 4 bbl. I once had a blue 1973 Lamans sport coupe. I remember a guy pulled up next to me with the same year and same exact color 1973 GTO. He said we pretty much look to have the same exact car. We both had the same stripes and rally wheels. Outside of how each car was badged, they were pretty much identical Pontiacs.

Those are great photos. I’d say you got the right phone. Gotta love that Goat in black & white.

Yeah I wished it was mine so I could just get in and take it for a drive into the past. It really had a lot of heart and soul that car did.

The GTO was offereed in a 2-bbl version. The snorkel type Air filter housing makes me think 2-bbl but I could be wrong. If that car has soild floor and trunk pans and it runs I would offer him $14.000 and go as high as $15. I paid $12000 for mine in 2005 and it was in worse shape than this one.
