Horseshoes and Wagon wheel part??

Found these today at a civil war battle site. I am curious what the round object is. Where these items were found was near a Union camp site stocked with supplies. The Union was ambushed by the Confederates at this location. Not sure if it is a part of an axle or wheel. Any thoughts?

Is the center hole have spline?

Judging by the size and architecture of it, my guess is that it is an alignment/tracking pulley off of a piece of farm machinery that uses flat link roller chains, and more that likely it is off of an old manure spreader like this one.

Also, I believe that both horse shoes are post war, an may well be from the workhorses that pulled the manure spreader.

Nice find! Thank you! The area was a prairie at one point as well. I found a handful of old square nails and a large square head bolt of some sort as well. I will be going back soon I am new to metal detecting and have always loved history. So every thing I find is a treasure to me. Thanks once again!

I like old "things" as well .. heck .. it's all good in my book and I have been at it for 44 years!
