Came across an old house site the other day. Only thing remaining was a two story stone chimney. Was only able to hunt for about an hour. Tons of singals and items in the ground - there is no way this place has ever been hunted!!!! Anyway, this is the best item I found. It is 1 1/2" across, the back is lead filled, looking at the back, there appears to have been some type of metal attached at one time.

Any ideas on age/use.

Thanks

Coop, At a glance I agree it looks like a horse rosette, but I I can't make out what the figure on the front is ??? . Looks nice though!

Sorry the picture didnt come out too good. Its a horses head, he's looking to the left. The little curly thing at about 9 o'clock it part of his bit/reins.
I have found a "US" bridle rosette before but it was SOLID - no lead in the back.
