008.JPG Found 3 identical old iron horse/mule rings in the same farm field a few days apart. I was wondering if the split ends in each ring had any significance as to what they were from or used for? They are each just under 4 inches in diameter.
 

Could be broken off of 'drag chains', used with a seed planter. 'Drag chains' have three or more large rings connected by smaller chain. It helps cover up the seed as it is sowed.

Still in use today.
