I found this Romano Celtic Horse & Rider brooch 17/4/2011 It still has enamel remaining but missing its pin 33 mm long. The horse was a very potent animal for the Celts and this brooch shows a Celt riding. A.D. 50 to A.D.150

I was very lucky last year & found one, its the slightly more high status version with added details. These were thought to be associated with a water cult & ritual activity. You may have a special site there ....or a random loss

The pin is less of an issue, its normally heads, legs etc that get broken, so yours is in great condition & its a sort after piece by collectors. CONGRATS
