Do these two iron artifacts belong on a horse?

Being iron, I would say no. Furniture, trunks, etc. probably.

The piece with the 2 hole might be a bit boss but I'm not sure it's about the right size and the holes are right. I just don't think I've seen an iron one before. I'm not sure but I think the other piece might be part of a buckle to an old rubber boot. They had a clip the would go into the slots and you would flip the clip back to lock it. The different slots gave you a bit of adjustment.

Someone suggested the square piece was a pedal to a tricycle. Seems to small.

The end of the pedal is about this size.

Now that you mention it. The piece with the holes in the end might be from a old bike or tricycle. It seems like I've seen something like that on the end of the pedals that covered bearings. I think the square piece looks to small and thin to be part of a pedal

yes steel. It also looks like remains of grease mixed with dirt in the center.

Its 2 1/2 inches long.
