Got out tonight with a buddy of mine today and hit the spot I pulled my first Spanish from. Didn’t have much luck so we moved to the other side of the property and found a field I didn’t know there had. Well my machine started acting kinda funny and looked down and saw my battery was low. So headed back to the truck to get some new ones. Well behind after Xmas and all all my batteries were in my kids possession. Damn kids!!! Lol. So I poached what I could find out of new thermostat boxes( I work for a heating co). And headed back out. Found my friend out back and asked if he had hit a small section of the back field and he said no so I meandered that way. After a few shotgun shells and buck shot I got another mid tone at four inches. And out pops the square buckle. Few minutes later got a screaming 82 at about 2”. And I’m thinking slaw but out pops the complete shoe buckle!! Couldn’t believe it. Only the second complete I’ve found. Well sorry for being long winded. The musket ball was another five feet from the shoe buckle.

Thanks for the look

Nice finds. I’m also hoping to get out one more time tomorrow to close out 2018. We don’t go out partying for New Years Eve, so no reason I can't give it one more go after I make a couple of loaves of bread in the morning.

Good Luck!

Very nice! Very nice indeed!

That is a perfect Georgian shoe buckle!!! Very awesome find! The rectangular one... I am not one hundred percent on this but that looks like it may be from the 1600's! There are some great buckle charts out there to help date them. Congrats!

Those are a couple real old buckles!!

Keep hitting that site hard!!

Congratualtions on the nice relics! :occasion14:
