I found this the other day in an area that had been a farm field at one point.
Even though it is in very sad shape and details are very VERY faint to non existant it still seems like something is there and I was hoping to possibly ID it.

A little larger than a quarter and made of copper I;m thinking since the E-TRAC read it kind of like a penny. Octagonal in shape with a triangle in the middle of it. Some thought they saw a symbol or two after recovery while some thought they saw letters BER or MER on it possibly. Hoping someone can help ID although it is pretty far gone. Thanks for looking and HH!

At first I thought it was either a bus token or a Chinese amulet, but the design and unevenness of the object probably rules out those choices. Good luck,

The ground has not been nice to it at all. I also thought chinese or possibly transit tokekn at first but am not sure what the design is on it.

I see MER. Possibly part of the word AMERICA?

Any evidence of a reeded edge? Was the triangle punched out or made as part of the token?

Not sure about a reeded edgeif there was one it has all worn off possibly...haven;t really tried to clean up the edge to see. I think the triangle was p[art of it when it was made I could be wrong though.

See this before, its an old copper coin that has had its edges hammered, plus the hole made. No idea why though.
