Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) are a large family of viruses that are common in people and many different species of animals, including camels, cattle, cats, and bats. Early on, many of the patients at the epicenter of the outbreak in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China had some link to a large seafood and live animal market, suggesting animal-to-person spread. Currently, scientists are racing to find out the mysterious origin of the virus.

How it spreads

Coughing and sneezing without covering the mouth can disperse droplets into the air.
Touching or shaking hands with a person who has the virus can pass the virus between individuals.
Making contact with a surface or object that has the virus and then touching the nose, eyes, or mouth.
Some animal coronaviruses, such as feline coronavirus (FCoV), may spread through contact with feces. However, it is unclear whether this also applies to human coronaviruses.

What are the main Symptoms?

The most common systems for COVID-19:
Fever - 98%
Dysopnea / Hypoxia (Trouble breathing, low oxygen) - 55%
Cough - 76%
Muscle Pain/fatigue - 44%

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) suggest that these groups have the highest risk of developing complications due to COVID-19. These groups include:

young children
people aged 65 years or older
women who are pregnant

What you can do to protect yourself

The CDC recommends getting a flu vaccine, taking everyday preventive actions, and taking flu antivirals if prescribed.
Wash your hands often with soap. Also, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces in and around your workspace and the office.

Wash your hands like you're 19 and trying to get the X that a bouncer wrote on your hand in Sharpie completely scrubbed off

Hope this helps
