Hey everyone, just a little tip, if your processing fines in your sink be sure to check the U pipe below! (Story on figuring this out below).....
I recently purchased a grizzly gold pan and the super sluice counterpart. I wanted to test this out before I took it in the field. So to insure there was gold there to find I added two very small (tiny bit bigger than flour gold) flakes to the pan into dry dirt and submerged it to begin shaking it as directions indicated but after many tries and a long time with no luck I took it inside to the basin sink I have. Still no luck!! The last try the dirt all came poring out of it. Now lots of dirt and two tiny gold flakes were in the bottom of my sink..... so I disappointedly proceeded to wash it all down the drain. Then I thought what about the U pipe under all sinks? I took off the u pipe and pored the sediment into my regular gold pan and low and behold in the bottom were both my gold flakes and one from an earlier run of other fines! So moral of the story? Check your u pipe if you use a sink for clean up :)...
Best of luck to you all, and yes I just became a charter member ;D

P.S. ANYONE ELSE HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE GRIZZLY GOLDPAN?

First tether the rubber to the pan so you won't lose it... Take some material like plastic or metal and make a shield for it on both side so you can't knock it out.. This pan is FAST!!
