Hood huntin yo!

Didn't find anything outstanding but it was exciting and entertaining! I got to watch a very exciting argument over a girlfriend which turned into an epic street fight that had traffic blocked on a residential road.

Even the people in the cars got out to watch....me...I didnt dare photograph it because I didn't want to look like I was calling the cops. I worked the easement to a comfortable viewing distance.

During my tour de hood the comments were hilarious. Some that stand out in my mind from the MANY:

Number one in my opinion-

"what you be findin wit dat Geiger counter my man?"

Some close seconds:
"Do you have a dollar Sir?"

"I need me one of those metal things"

"Are you looking for bullets?"

"Dont the rocks be messin wit dat?" ....only hot rocks brother! He said hot rocks? I said yeah the ones with metal in them!

"How much that cost?"
My response was 20 dollars.

There was a lot of random stuff said...just don't remember it all.

Only found a 1944 wheat and 1.01 clad with a Buchanan president's token from that old presidents game.

I think I'm going to start working that area more often. I found two wheats and a silver rosie yesterday.

Yeah, I joke about it and one day it could bite me in the butt, but I'm fairly careful and aware of my surroundings.

I get the same in some towns I hunt. Had one guy early one morning tap me on the shoulder from behind. Scared the mess out of me. Turns out he wanted to know how the machine worked. Another time a women wanted me to follow her to the lower side of town to find her keys. The young man wit me said, you better not go. The women's son about 20 was sitting in the car waiting. The young guy wit me said, you might not come out of that area alive. Everyone be careful. I've started to carry protection now.

We hunt the hood all of the time.

I wear a high visibility work shirt, when someone speaks to me, I point at the headset, indicating I can’t hear, then mumble “damn water meter”... works like a charm.

That's funny Carolina Tom! I was on the tax commissioners website and some of the houses are labeled public property...guessing since it's free housing...I may need to look for some water meters lmfao!

Always be aware of your surroundings, and as much as you might want to, I wouldnt do any favors for anyone who just walked up on me asking to find keys. If ever there was a setup, that was one.
