Well Happy Fathers day to all. My fathers day spanned the whole weekend. We did some research and found a few schools we had not hit before. These would be the warm up for a trip to my buddies gold claim at Liberty, Wa..
We got permission to dig a bottle dump up in Liberty and were making a weekend trip out of it. The dump was from a mink farm that spanned a short period from the early 20's to somewhere around 1950. It's not a bad hike to the site and tons of fun once ya get started.
Well we hit the schools first and came away with a .925 cross, and .925 bracelet and a ton of clad. The sun was out, the day was heatin up, and my buddy and I had both hit silver before breakfast. Not a bad start. So off to the bottle dump. We managed to uncover a part of the dump that was previously undisturbed, and loaded. I will post pics of the cleaned bottles at a later date. I still have a huge pile waiting on the mountain for the next trip. Some of the bottles from this trip were from a barber shop, and are in great shape.
So this mornin marked the end of this weekends treasure run. My buddy and I picked a couple of schools and parks across town. We of course were gettin the usual trash and clad, then this pops up. This is my second name bracelet this year. It is marked 14k and weighs 3.0 grams. Some of ya already know I have been on a gold streak, and I hope it doesn't end. So not a bad fathers day weekend at all. I got gold, silver, and some great bottles. Keep it shiny side up and good luck.
