I don't know what a coin from Hong Kong is doing in a Michigan Park...but here it is anyways.
I noticed that on this coin from 1982 when Hong Kong was a British Crown Colony the obverse reads Queen Elizabeth the Second. On other coins the writing is most often Dei Gratia (or D.G.) Regina, Elizabeth the second. Is this because China is a Communistic government that is officially Atheistic so Die Gratia, which is Latin for By the grace of God, does not appear on this coin?
