Old home stead, found two plate cover things, the first one has plastic on it the second one is a better metal, maybe brass? ( I am not good guessing what metal types are)

I think the third thing is a wick holder for an old lamp, the fourth thing is I think two pieces clipped together? Should be able to see what I mean in the larger photo. The next thing is a nut with a hook on it? Totally baffled by that!

Then to the big metal piece, this is a heavy piece. The holes on the side don't go all the way through to the center, which ruled out my first thought that it was a hitch of some sort with something to use with a cotter key, but after banging a lot of the dirt and cleaning it up just a bit, I knew that wasn't even close!

I would appreciate any help! Thanks

The square thing in your first picture kind of reminds me of part of an electrical breaker housing...

With regard to that last item, the iron pipe,
my first thought was water sprinkler nozzle but second thought is gas flame nozzle.

Thanks for the response, I googled vintage gas flame nozzle and they all seem to have threaded ends, I am not saying you are not right, I am just sharing what I found. Also I don't know what the holes on the side would be for as they don't go all the way through. So I have no idea what purpose they could serve! Thanks again!

That first item might be a receiver for the metal tie down straps.

that last piece looks like a black powder pistol barrel to me

The barrel is octagon, and has the dove tail for a sight, which screams gun barrel, however I think it's been cut off and with the holes in it,
my swag the gun was disassembled for some perceived reason more important than having an old gun.

Thank you so much for responding! A friend of mine also thought it might be a pistol barrel to, but he wasn't sure about the side holes. Any idea what the holes on the side might be for?

I've never heard of a gun-barrel flute but with the 5 holes on top and one on the bottom this looks to me like someone tried to make one... Hahaha
