Homemade KFC Anyone?

I have been making this for a while now, hope you like it. This is the original recipe style, much better than what they make now since trans fats are illegal. I use canola oil to fry it in a tall spaghetti pot and can fry 7 thighs at a time. As soon as the seven thighs are in I put the lid on the pot and put the canister of flour or sugar on the lid for 7 mins. Then I remove the lid and finish cooking the chicken without the lid.I only use 1/2 the salt called for and I use accent instead of MSG.

Under favorites!

I didn't know there was a section, I see it now in My Favorites :-[
Maybe I could ask one of the moderators to move it?
Enjoy! Glenn

I'll have to try that one, always intimidated by the need to chop that cabbage into itty bitty pieces though. :D

If you send me some of the delicious looking chicken, I'll be glad to give it the KFC Comparison Taste Test and I'll do it for free. ;D

Pepper, the KFC cole slaw is my favorite thing on their menu. What is the salad dressing? That's the secret, isn't it?

I love it too. I'll try to find the recipe for you. I think the secret is the sugar and the vinegar.
