Homemade Excal Knob Guard - Here's Mine

I used some plywood, Alum Foil and a heat coil from an old hair dryer to make this plexi-glass heater:

Then I bought a piece of this at Lowe's for $3:

And I made this knob guard for my Blue 1000:

Real Nice work! And This should be stander on the Excalibur..

Thanks guys. Means a lot coming from 2 of the best mod men I know.

Great job man!!! I'm working on a similar design with a piece of Lexan polycarbonate. I basically used tips from various posts here and there. I'll post some pics when I finish up tomorrow. I tried using acrylic, but it cracked after heat application while drilling. Hopefully I get a better result tomorrow with the Lexan. Again yours looks great :-)

Thanks Matt. I used Lexan on the next one and it turned out even better. GL and SH.

The Lexan was a bit challenging at first, but I did pretty good I think :-) Thanx to all the guys who posted their DIY upgrades, without your posts I'd be lost Lol Now it's time for some treasure hunting!!!
