Holtwood PA

Would that be the Susquehanna river in Lancaster county? Here's some of my Pa. artifacts from Dauphin and Lancaster counties. These were all found along the Susquehanna back in the mid to late 70's.

That is an amazing Susky collection. We are in York County down closer to Md. Close to Lancaster county. May even be in Lancaster county im a md'er but family is from pa. We spend a lot of time below holtwood dam and was wondering if you had finds on the Susky that far south?

Thanks, never hunted the Susky myself, I know some people who have and they told me around Harrisburg and further south " used " to be great hunting, but because of farmers practicing no till on crop fields and hunting competition on productive fields, good finds are hard to come by. I know a guy who absolutely cleaned up on islands in his kayak. They're still out there you just have to go the extra mile and time it right. I'm pretty sure most of my pa. stuff was found north of Holtwood.

I have been down to the area before while on a hiking trip to a nearby state park. The area is beautiful. I bet the Indian artifacts are all over. Great history, great artifacts! :icon_thumleft:

Here are some of my points from sites along the Susquehanna river.
