Back out into the blazing sun to try the Dirk field today! 😬 journey over I spent praying he wouldn’t find another.. 😂 … and he didn’t, but we had a lovely time, the going was smooth and the digging was easy 😆 xx

Let me start you off with my gorgeous buckle! Then a bronze lump was clearly once something, lovely little button, then a brooch, back of brooch and button, intact thimble, musket balls, lead disk and pointy bit, little tack pins, spoon and end of spoon handle, 2 bits of buckle, another oddment.. lead bag seal (?) buttons, token, toasted token (?) and the one and only scrappy Roman found by me! 😎 xx
