Hello everyone. I found this a while back. I just never got a chance to post it. It is my first SLQ. Im a bit upset due to the bullet hole right in the middle of it. On the other hand, the date is still visible and it makes a great conversation piece. The date is visible 1928. It was found in South Texas at a lot next to the first school in that city built in the early 1900's. I still have permission to hunt the property. Im still working on getting permission to hunt the school property though.

What a cool SLQ find! Even though it's holed you lucked out with the date.

I really like that find. I think the hole makes it special!

Good deal ;about 10yrs ago I found a Franklin 1/2/ with the bullet still stuck in it .

They'll shoot anything in Texas! :p seriously I think the hole makes it unique and just think about the story behind it.

Nice find!!

very cool SLQ. It is a better conversation piece now. Frame it.

that's really cool. actually has more character than just a normal coin find

To be honest, IMO the bullet hole makes it an even cooler find than if it was plain.....

I wonder if they flipped it up and shot it out of the air, like they did in Winchester 73.

Considering that most SLQ's are dug with no date, (mine anyway), that is one killer coin.
Kudos!

FANTASTIC coin. I've dug some SLQ's, but never one like that. My buddy dug a shield nickel in KY that had a bullet hole in it, and I dug a wheat that had a bullet stuck in it back in the 90s in Virginia.

Cool find!

Now thats one cool find! I'd go back and pound that place!..................HH

Figures it would be one with a really clear date. Cool find anyway. lol

Forgot that I 'Liked' that Post/Coin.

I think it is cooler than a normal coin. Plus, you can read a date! Someone could really hit the bulls-eye
