After reseaching Symbols.com (lots of info). Im thinkn I may be seeing alot of hobo/tramp signs (not tramp stamps lol). Anyone ever concider these signs or have seen them at there sites? Dont think that would be a good place to treasure hunt or MDing? Thoughts?

I have been researching a lot of symbols, some of the hobo signs were just adapted for their use. I always detect you never know!

According KVM, there has been some nice sized caches found in Hobo Jungles.

One needs to remember, not all the hobos were hobos because they were poor. Some were hobos because they were attracted to that way of life. My grandfather did it for a while, that's how he got to know "the singing brakeman". They rode a few trains together.
He also met some who always had access to a bit of cash . . . just because someone doesn't want to work or bathe doesn't make them poor.

Hobos or homeless would also have no access to the banking system ( or have any trust in it) so they would be likely to hide/bury and money they had. Didn't have to be much to make a nice silver cache.
