I would think of this more as a love token than a hobo dime. However, the text is kind of throwing me. The letters could be initials. but the text in the upper right looks like Div. Not sure where that would fit in with love.

I guess you might call that engraved( broad definition) coin , now jewelry.

Any indication of solder around the edge? May also have been set in a signet ring?
