I decided to detect and sift my sandbar. Recovered two chain pieces very deep down, a heavily encrusted nail. Can’t tell if the nail is square, but the encrusted nature is cool. Strangest find was a sole from a hob nail shoe. At first I thought I stumbled on a body due to a lot of black organic material, but I think the shoe just leached into the sand. No idea the age of any, but it was fun.
