Hoarders House

Recently went to an estate sale where the old couple had passed away and the neighbors were cleaning up the place and selling their stuff to cover burial expense. Befriended the neighbors a received permission to come dig through the old trailer house parked beside the new one. Knee deep in trash and stuff. I pulled out this little gem. Remington Skylark portable in excellent working condition. Seems to be kinda rare as I can find no others like it. Also got 9 old plastic Thermos and Alladins and a Old Mexican Feather Art and other smalls. All for $6. Happy Hunting All!

Actually this was my second pick at this place and this was the best of it. I could not find anything of value in all that mess. Believe me, I looked hard...no plans on going back.

nice find, that is what it is like for me with a lot of these empty houses, I always make a few trips before I have my crews clean it out, amazing what can be missed the first time around

A few years back I have a friend who's sister in law was a hoarder, her stuff was mostly unopened boxes from the telemarketers! She had rooms full of the stuff, and when she died I about cried as they simply heaved it all into a open top and hauled it away!!! Yeah I found out it after the fact....

Went to a Hoarders house a few years ago. It was more of a neat hoarders house. He would buy a ton of things from department stores and save them for whatever reason. Must have been 10,000 pairs of socks new in packages. Among other things, I ended up with a large box full of various 1980's mens colognes NIB, what a find!!
