Hmm I Guess Its a Watch Fob

I dug this a awhile back from the yard of a house dating the mid 188?'s. Along with many wheaties a few rosies and buffalos and a class ring also pictured which I believe is fairly old or just cheap since no school name and pretty plain but it is silver . Anyway back to the fob I was thinking the Indian may be the one used by Pontiac?
