If anybody is from the Virginia Beach area they know we have been having some crazy lightning storms that are dumping soooo much rain in the area lately. Well, this morning I saw a small break in the weather and drove out to the beach...paid my $5 parking...and hoped to make it worthwhile. Unfortunately, the storm caught up with me quick and I was only there for about 45 minutes. The good part is I made away with a small handful of change....and this beauty in the pictures. It's a 14K necklace pendant and it's thick...kinda heavy. I took it to the jewelry store and they verified that the diamonds are real...he estimates its about 1/2 carat total and worth around $500. Needless to say, I think my parking got paid for today :) On another more humorous note...I picked up a bottle cap from the bottom of one of my holes and went to shove it in my trash pocket when a quarter fell out...it was kinda funny...somebody had apparently stuffed it inside the bottle cap!?!? Anyway...lots of fun :)

Nash, hey where in Oregon are you at? I grew up in Bend...im only in Virginia because I am in the Navy.

Real nice diamonds and gold cillosis....

Keep on siftin'...

For some reason that reminds me more of.....what the heck were they called....something like a Texas String Tie? Like a thick piece of nice stringlike material, with a clip they ran through to cinch up to your neck....

It reminds me of a clip that would go on something like that.

Whatever it is, I sure know what diamonds and gold are. Congrats!

Fantastic find! That sure paid for the the trip.

Wow, nice goldie with diamonds! Geese, $5 to park! When I was stationed there it was free! Course there weren't any high rise hotels blocking the beach either. You'd just park on the road and walk to the beach. Congrats.

Hey when its your day it is your day... :) your quarter story reminds me of those times you lose a signal and give up...as you cover the hole back up...you seethe coin laying on the ground! ;D

Fantastic find....now I am starting to get fired up again after this post...but I am sore from digging...from the back down to the ankles....and the heat does not help either...

But if this post does not inspire you you may be in wrong hobby! :o

Thats nice looking. I've not found gold in awhile, but it does make the 'ole heart beat a little faster!!
