Went back to the spot I was at yesterday and got a 1926 Wheat, 1935 Wheat, a 1918-d Merc, a ring, and an old piece of costume jewelry.

It's been good. So far the 35 wheat penny I dug today is the most modern coin found yet.

It tied my oldest merc. This is turning out to be a real good spot. It's hard though because it's really thick and there are tree branches littering the ground...not to mention the foot of leaves I have to kick out of the way to dig. Worth it though.

Couldn't have said it better myself...No pull tabs or bottle caps.....knowing that when you do get a signal chances are it's a desirable target.

I'm going to hit it again today. I'll try and take some pics of the area. I thought the piece of jewelry was pretty too. I have found some before but none that ever had the stone still intact.
