Have been planning to hit the local small city park for a while. Have had a couple people tell me they have hit it and only got clad and trash. Well, I was next door to it today and decided to stop in for a quick hunt. Its actually the first time Ive been to the park so looked around a bit first. There is an old stone well with a metal cap on it. Decided to start around it. The ground was super saturated, every step I took I sunk down two inches. IT was NASTY to dig in. I only planned to try it real quick but ended up staying within 10' of that well for two hours. I ended up with 5 wheat pennies from the 40's-50's, a clad nickel, and a couple of mystery metal items. Going to post one of them in the "what is it" forum when I can get a picture uploaded.

Every single wheat penny was at least 8" deep. 8 inch's of nasty slurpy mud. Three of them didnt even register a VDI # on the at pro, just got a tone. I can only imagine what coins are deeper than I was picking up.

Plan on hitting it again at some point, it was just cool to pull 5 wheaties from the "searched out" park.

I set it on Pro Zero, Iron disc to 30 with iron audio ON. I ground balance and then manually drop the ground balance # by 7.
I also use headphones, you can hear so much more than running without them.
