hit the high ground

Went to an old home this morning with negitive results so I decided to head back to the fields I have been hunting for the last couple of months. Finds have slowed greatly so I really wanted to change things up.
I started in a differnt area and the trash was horrible . Everything from can slaw to melted slag.. After half a bag of garbage I thought I would just patroll the field and headed to some high ground away from the road .The trash subsided and I started to dig some camp lead.
I only spent about two hours in the field but I was very happy to find a hot spot that gave up five buttons and 5 bullets. The only coin for the day was a 1899 IH . The barber and other bullets were found last week but I never posted them. The barber is a 1901.
Still lots of ground to cover .

It's funny,the barber was one of those deals where your just about to get into the car and the machine goes off. I had been all over the area but it eluded me on the other hunts.

Those are the experiences that keep us hunting, on the way back to the car, when we're dead tired and just want to go home.
