I have started to expand out from the foundation site as I think I've found most of the coins nearby the foundation itself. I pulled out the following wheats today, 1955, '52, '44, 194?,and two 19?? wheats. I didn't realize until I got home and cleaned it, but the 7th coin was a 1903 Indian Head! Yes, I had to use soap and water as the conditions of these coins is pretty bad. I tried the olive oil method a few months ago on some coins I had found here before and it didn't do a thing. The Indian head isn't in as bad a shape as the wheats, that makes my first Indian Head w/ a metal detector and oldest coin find to date. Todays finds bring the total coins found from this site to over 30! And I'm pretty sure there's still more to come.

Take care and thanks for lookin'

WTG!!

Congratulations on your 1st Indian head.

The 2nd object in the pic looks like a window latch to me, just the release handle on this one is longer.

Great finds!

HH :)

Cool finds! Love that green indian!WTG!!

Congratulations, TB. Be careful cleaning that indianhead. They can be pretty fragile. I've ruined a few cleaning them with peroxide. Check out the rim of it and see if it is intact. To me....that seems like where the corrosion starts.

Veru nice finds, like the relics too.
What do you think the small fork is for.....peas?

Neat relics, Tsgman

Burdie, I think it's an old homesite by it's location and what I've found.

Delkab33, Capgun for sure, I found another piece of one today. Must've had a few kids.

Goldencoin, my wife thinks the fork is a cocktail fork, I was thinking a kids fork, but handle is too long.

I went back today for a while and found a 1949 wheat and a 1966 dime (the newest coin to date), previous was a 1959 penny.

Nice finds, Congrats on your first IH, WTG!!!
The little injun sure sticks out with all that green on it...
Good luck, & Happy hunting~
