Hit the forest preserves Sat. and got some old gold!

got this 14k yellow and white gold ring. Ruby is .40 ct, 2 larger diamonds are.20, 14 small ones are .02
thats my 2nd gold jewelry on land this month. I get lots of gold in the water but normally can't seem to find it on land!
Man I love this hobby!!!!!

Very nice. Great digging. I wouldnt say that I found it on forest preserve property though. It is illeagle to treasure hunt on forest preserve usally. Just a thought. Doenst mean dont do it. But dont inclued it in the post. You never know ho is going to see...HH

GoldFever, Forest preserves in and around Chicago are controlled by each County, each with their own rules on metal detecting. I spent years with my metal detecting club hunting at club hunts each and every one at a forest preserve. So I don't think Ron was in the wrong.

there a few that dint let you hunt on them dupage for one were i live thay wont let you hunt .cook county you can i have bin out there and hunted some of there perserve thay are nice about it.wish i could do dupage forest perserve thay have some nice spots i would love to hit well got to go . have a great thanksgiving all and watch out for those crazy drivers out there tonight .
