Hunted a new permission yesterday and did alright, 185? Large and 2 Indians 1890 and 1894 , 1919 Wheatie, found some really nice relics also! Trying to get out as much as possible before winter hits.

Nice hunt, a little bit of everything type hunt, which makes them interesting.

I thought the brass items were early gas valves that are found at homesteads.

Early homes had an ACETYLENE GENERATOR. (calcium carbide + water)

I kept finding these types of valves at cellar holes/homesteads that had no public gas (natural gas/propane).
Reading up on the topic I found out that these generators were in homes.

I thought the brass items were early gas valves that are found at homesteads.

That valve thing is from a Model T Ford. Radiator petcock valve.

The brass valve is called a pit cock. Usually for a drain or pressure relief.
