Hit a yard that goes back to around the early 1900s , the grass was tall but figured I could get a few swings in. I found this Pad Lock that has VR on it and a ring that looks copper on the outside but is stamped 18k on the inside and a 1918 wheat and $3.35 in clad. I found enough to go back this fall or next spring when the grass is a little shorter but for now I will have to work the mowed yard across the street that I picked up today.:headbang:

Congrats on the 18k ring, 1918 wheat and I like that padlock too. Or you could go in a hand grass whip and cut it down....if you permitted to cut it. In any case good luck upon your return!

Dan asked if I could mow it for them and for some reason they didn't want it mowed, so I will just have to wait....

Neat finds. Back in the day they plated copper rings with gold and stamped them 18K. I have found plenty of them. I sure wish they were real gold. Congrats on the finds.
