So wanting to learn my new AT Pro better I hit an old drive in that is near my house. Everyone told me it's been picked over and fished out since 1986 when it closed. Although I didn't get super finds I sure proved it wasn't picked over completely.

Boy I'll say it wasn't Jim. Looks like it was just cherry picked a bit.

good job !!!

That's quite the haul from a pounded site.....I'll lay you odds there's still some other finds you missed.

Yep...
I have heard that story more times than I can recall.
It is usually me that is telling it. :)

No spot... is ever... truly... fished out. UNLESS it is new fill or "new land".
Just goes to show those who "give up"... or "move on"... saying it is cleaned.

The right detector... set the right way... run by the right person...
will always find what others have passed/walked over.

ARCC,

Most of my hunting is done at about 25 dry land green spaces.....this is like 22 years now and I still manage to squeeze out a few more finds.

The best advice I can give is go slow and do overlaps it gets the best results whether the site has been pounded to death or even a virgin site.
