WV Hunter
Greenie
I dont know if this has been posted or not but i found it yesterday. Go to www.maptech.com and go to online maps then historical maps. My friend bought a map of our area from ebay that was a topo usgs map that was done around late 1800s and revised in 1909. The site i found had the same map down to every detail. It has dots that represent houses. The map he has is the place we hunt and i was told there were 4 houses that set along that streach of the river in the 1800s. Well the map shows 8. We used the map and there they were. None of the houses are still standing but we found where they were with the map and the iron in the ground. The firs coin i found was a 1849 one cent piece. I am sold on it. Thanks Maptech . Oh an if the state you are hunting is on there click on the image maps in that state and a map of you state will come up with the counties then just click where you want to go hunt.
