Found a few cool things today with some friends. A unique NJ copper not unique I’ve found 3 and each one is completely different as many of you know. Part me me thinks observe side has visible markings that just seem different in most NJ Coppers I’ve looked at online but just could be the eyes playing tricks haha one picture I posted is just how different they can be.

Also a toasted half cent not really pictured.

In 1824, President James Monroe invited Lafayette, the last surviving general of the American Revolution, to tour all 24 U.S. states – 11 more than the original 13, including Maine and Vermont. Monroe wanted the visit to celebrate the nation's 50th anniversary

Seen a couple of these buttons posted but didn’t realize til hours later a Lafayette medallion button. No clue about this button prior but from some research I’ve seen a couple posted on here before but still a great piece of American history.
