Found this hinge near a 19th C farm house. The holes are beveled possibly to accommodate wood screws. The "fingers" for lack of a better word shown best in the last 2 pictures, appear to have rotated around a metal rod(?) Any ideas as to what the hinge went to and age would be most appreciated, as I intend to offer it to the local historical society, after cleaning it up and preserving it.

If it is a hinge I would say gate latch/hinge.

creskol & Tony in SC, thanks for the ID. Will look at the home tomorrow to see if any remaining shutter hinges look like it.
