I detected this hinge at the bottom of a dried up riverbed here in Wyoming. It's been there a very long time and has corroded bad. In layers like skin peeling off. I've googled and bing'ed up "Old hinges" and as to sort, but I don't see anything like it. I know that I've seen this hinge, but can't remember on what. It is a smidgen over 10 inches long and at the widest part 1 1/2 inches wide. I know many blacksmith's made their own designs. If anyone can offer any help, I would appreciate it very much. The grain layers make me think it's wrought iron, which relates to old, and perhaps it was a strong box off of a Wells Fargo or one of Ben Holladay's
Stage coaches, and the bad guys got all the gold, and you got a hinge. You know, kind of like my gold mine. My X wife got the gold and I got the shaft.
