I bought theses Two autograph books an Estate sale. They are Dated 1942 and 1943. The high school is in New York City. The man who owned them his name is Henry Wolf. After some research comes to find that he used to do photography for big-name magazines in the 50s. He was also in ducted into the art director Hall of Fame. Anyways how would someone go about selling something like these? I have a friend who collects autographs. He knows a lot however they are out of the country for a month.

I can't offer any advice but I like it. Henry Wolf is indeed famous in certain circles. He immigrated to the states in 1941 and went into the Army in 1943 so these are memories from his early life in the states as he finished H.S. How cool is that. Are there very many signatures in the books? I haven't been able to find a copy of his sig., have you?
You may want to contact these people- http://www.glaserarchives.org/fa/hwfa.pdf They could probably confirm the signature for you. The dates match up but you never know. They may even want to purchase it from you, never know.

You may wish to attempt to enhance the value by looking up/contacting the high school and check for famous alumni; you may have that person's signature also.
Don.....

I'm not 100% positive it's the same guy. Would have to do some more research. There are probably 100 sigs in the two books. Most don't have last names though. I did find a site that had a signed photo but I couldn't tell really if the two were the same or not. I would think most people would change their signature from the age of 16 to 40s and 50s

Agreed, finding out the name of the HS he attended would be key, that's for sure. There is a lot of info out there about him, i'm sure someone would know. Not to mention the actual school itself.

PS- I just noticed that the school is a junior h.s., he wouldn't have attended j.h.s. in the states if he didn't arrive until 1941 and was in the army by 1943, I wouldn't think. Yes, more research needed.

He was born may 23rd 1925. The boks are dated June 18 1943. So he would be just turned 18. Maybe not a match at a jhs? Ill have to find out when he went Into military.
