Hi all. Hit a downtown park today, attached to a golf course. Thought I was really gonna clean up. Only had an hour and a half, so started waving the MD as soon as I cleared the curb. This park was a new experience to me. I couldn't differentiate the signals. It didn't matter where I went or how slowly I moved the coil, it sounded like a drum roll. Really frustrating! Scratch that one off the list. Oh yeah, net take in 90 minutes.....Three cents! My worst trip to date. :-[ Better luck to the rest of you~CO2

Its ok CO2 we all have those days, but the next time you go out find something cool. This day will be a memory. Rememeber everyday you use your machine even if no great finds it will bring you closer to the good finds, because at least you are out there trying

Sounds like a lot of stuff in the ground there. Sometime you'll get back there and maybe the signals will be more meaningful or you'll have more time. Then you'll clean it out and find maybe one or two things that are real keepers amid all that noise.

Might be a place to try some different coils or programs. At least you got out there. I was stuck inside all day & it was beautiful out. Spent six hours with a computer wise friend trying to set upn a new machine & transfer data & programs. I hate this stuff. Makes me even more aware of my computer illiteracy. Spotz

Sounds like a place we had a local comp. hunt at. Guy buried keys one was for new PU truck. He didn't check to ground 1st, found out during hunt that he mixed keys in area that had shredded WW II aluminum aircraft parts EVERYWHERE! Fortunately, had extra key to truck-drew from name badges in box instead.

Another way to look at it - every pull tab you dig indicates how heavily
the previous TH'er was discriminating.

I did the same thing yesterday in a park in Eugene, OR.? More hits than
silence, but I dug most everything.? And yes, EVERY one I dug was a
pull tab.? BUT that tells me that there could be rings or silver or old
nickels there that others have scanned over.? Just gonna take some
time going back as I travel down to Oregon.

Also I dug 3 OLD square nails - that tells me that the area of the park
I was in could have had an old homesite ages ago.? The fact that no one
else had dug those old nails also tells me that there could be good hits
in that area that have been discriminated out.

So keep the faith - maybe after 35 pull tabs you'll pull out a Barber
or silver bracelet.... missed by everyone else!

ps - if anyone reading this is one of the two TH'ers I met in the center of
the park, drop me a note!? This was about 3:00 on Wednesday.? Don't
know the name of the park - Coburg road in Eugene, on the way out of town.
