Went out yesterday with two friends for a full day hunt. Went to a new spot but the grass was high and we really couldn't cover the area as we would have liked. We've had a lot of rain this summer and the farmers are behind on their hay. I found some bucky balls, camp lead and a little iron. Both my buds found round balls and bucky balls. It was real hot but we still had a good hunt. We will definitely be back there this fall. All of our fields are like jungle's and the bugs own the woods but fall will be here soon then I'll find something new to b....ch about :banghead: Hope everyone had a good weekend. HH RN

I feel for all of you,the weather is not co-operating here either. Still a fairly great hunt.

I hate tall grass, wears my arm out fast when I swing the coin through it. Looks like your living up to your name. Congrats on those relics.

Yes guys, it was a great hunt. This ground has been pounded by the veterans for years. Every time we hunt a place like that we find a lot of buck and ball. I think its because it is easily missed or the technology is that much better. I'll take it every day. Sure beats a pocket full of nails. LOL

Nice relics! Congrats on enduring the conditions! :icon_thumright:

The heat/humidity did me in, in short order and my finds reflect that. Expecting 2 more days of this. :tongue3:

Watch out for a snake in the grass .

I tell my buddy's if they here 8 shots and what sounds like a women scream..... I just seen a snake.

MAN RELIC NUT YOU SURE HAVE A ITCH TO DIG SOMETHING UP , WITH THE HEAT AND HUMIDTY THAT IS SO BAD OUTSIDE , GLAD YOU DIDNT GET SICK OR EVEN PASS OUT. LOOKS TO ME YOU HAVE SOME CIVIL WAR FINDS BUT THE NEXT TIME YOU DIG WAIT TILL ITS COOLER OUTSIDE. STAY REFRESHED MY FREIND.

I have discovered that the high-end electric string trimmer is the cure for high grass.

(it's nice to work for DeWALT.... :laughing7:)

Very humid hear in Illinois. Luckily I'm in Oklahoma this week wear its hot, but the humidity isn't near as bad.
