Did a hunt today at an old one room school house from mid 1800' s. The recent owner dumped fill dirt around the building. I decided to hit the field surrounding the site. My record day for pulling 5's out of the dirt. Here it is, 1870 shield nickel, Shield nickel no date, 1907 V Nickel. 1892 Indian, two buttons, 60 cal. Round ball. Square plate/ buckle. ? And a very old squeeze tube top..

Great finds

Great find. Maybe someone else will chime in on its use. Some believe its a belt plate others believe its a trunk plate. Again nice finds.

Looks like a very old (colonial) cross belt plate, good job!
